Never leave your hair to dry naturally. Always blow-dry the roots, as when the tips are left wet, the bonds can break down and also this can cause matting. 

Always use your soft bristle brush on your roots and brush morning and night. Using a brush with bobble ends will catch on the extensions and cause looping, and may pull the strands out. 

Maintenance is required on your hair extensions every 8-10 weeks. Anything over this time will cause matting and damage to the natural hair. 

Always use a good quality moisture rich shampoo and conditioner. 

Rinse your hair for an extra 30 seconds at the end of your wash to make sure all the products are correctly washed out. 

If you are on holiday or swimming, use a conditioning treatment, as chlorine and salt water can dry out the hair.

Chlorine and salt water can also change the colour of the lighter extensions, so using a silver shampoo will correct this.

Wash your hair 2-3 times a week to avoid the hair becoming greasy and the bonds slipping.

Always use oil or heat protectors on the mid-lengths and ends to keep the hair in good condition. 

I would also recommend using a good quality shampoo and conditioner as they really do make your hair extensions last longer. Just think the better the products, the better the extensions will last.
